Lawyer with Specialization in Project Management and Tech Law

To disseminate information and guidance on data protection and privacy to innovation actors, IMY has established an innovation hub. We are now looking for lawyers with specialized expertise in project management and tech law for the innovation hub.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead and coordinate various projects within IMY's regulatory sandbox on data protection. You will collaborate with different supervisory authorities and industry actors to identify regulatory challenges and develop possible solutions.

You will also produce guidance and reports on legal and regulatory aspects of innovation and develop processes and guidelines for the sandbox's implementation and follow-up. An important part of the job is to conduct training and workshops on regulatory requirements for innovative technologies. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with IT specialists, among others.

The role is new, and you will therefore play a central role in shaping working methods, structure, and content – together with the team and in line with our goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a law degree (jur.kand) or equivalent and at least five years of documented experience in qualified legal work. You have experience working with tech law in areas such as data protection, fintech, or AI. Experience in project management is a requirement.

You are a skilled lawyer with strong analytical abilities. You have an excellent ability to express complex legal issues in a target audience-adapted, clear, and concise manner, in both Swedish and English.

Experience working in cross-functional teams with IT specialists and business developers, as well as knowledge of agile working methods and innovation processes, is advantageous. We also view positively if you have experience creating guidelines and regulatory frameworks for new technologies. Experience in networking, giving lectures, and public speaking is seen as an asset, as is previous work as a corporate lawyer, legal consultant, or at a law firm.

The Position

You will report to the unit manager who is part of the authority's management group. The position is a permanent full-time employment. IMY applies a six-month probationary period. The work is based in our pleasant activity-based premises centrally located in Stockholm. Travel may occur as part of the job.

The position is classified in a security class, which means that Swedish citizenship is required for this position. A security review with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
